When you perform a search on one of those known search sites, the sidebar opens and the search result is displayed in a small list.
This makes it easy to look through the search results without having to press the Back button or open a new browser window.
You can also enter a search term in the sidebar and then select which search sites to query (you can select several at once).
All results will be accumulated and displayed in the sidebar.
Beonex Communicator currently comes with Sherlock files for the following search sites:
We had to select a default search site, which is used when you enter a search term in the location bar and click on the Search button.
We selected Google, in part because it keeps advertising and search results strictly separate.
You can change the default under "Edit|Preferences...|Navigator|Internet Search|Default Search Engine".
For the same reasons, we selected Google's "I'm feeling Lucky" feature as provider for "Internet Keywords" results.
The search engines are selected solely with the user in mind - the selection is not influenced by "sponsoring". We hope to make money with our support options.
